New Single is OUT NOW!!
So excited to share my new music "Murmuration" with you.

Jun Futamata released a new song "Murmuration" recorded at Sigur Ros Studio in Iceland.

Jun Futamata, who has been creating works on subjects such as social distortion for some time, has attempted a theme of crowds and alarm bells.
This song was born from her heartbreaking experience with the "Okjokull" glacier, which disappeared in Iceland in 2019, and global warming issues around the world.

This work was dubbed with a myriad of unusual instruments that were randomly placed in the Sigur Ros studio in Iceland, including the Ondomo, a synthesizer instrument that is a faithful reproduction of the Ondes Martenot, which was invented about 100 years ago.

The track was also engineered by Francesco Fabris (Bedroom Community), who also participated in the film "All Quiet on the Western Front," which won four Academy Awards in 2023, including Best Music.

The cello phrase that is repeated from the intro and throughout the song evokes the image of an alarm bell for the environment that is being lost, and the song builds up with organic phrases, creating a fascinating piece that evokes "chaos" and "fragility" at the same time.

To be included in Iceland recorded album to be released this fall.
